Driveshaft Shaft Drive

Driveshaft Shaft Drive

The Drive Shaft is a rotating driveline component that transmits torque from the transmission or transfer case to the differential, with vehicle-specific shaft dimensions, spline and joint configurations.

Product Overview

The Driveshaft Assembly is supplied for selected passenger cars, SUVs, pickups and light commercial vehicles. Product specifications can be confirmed against OE references, technical drawings or approved samples, including shaft dimensions, joint types, flanges, yokes and spline configurations. The assembly can be supplied for replacement and vehicle-specific applications.

Configuration & Balancing

Main Components

Depending on the application, the driveshaft assembly may include a steel tube, fixed or slip yoke, flange or companion flange, universal or CV joints, spline shaft, center support bearing, rubber boots, grease and balance weights.

Joint & Shaft Configuration

Joint type, yoke design, spline configuration and center support arrangement are selected according to the vehicle drivetrain, shaft position and installation requirements.

Dynamic Balancing

Dynamic balancing requirements are determined by shaft configuration and operating conditions. Balance condition is verified after assembly, while shaft runout is checked during dimensional and assembly inspection.

Manufacturing & Quality Control

Dimensional Inspection

Key dimensions are checked against approved drawings, OE references or product specifications, including overall length, tube diameter, wall thickness, flange dimensions, bolt-hole pattern, spline dimensions and shaft runout.

Inspection Equipment

Inspection is supported by CMM, dynamic balancing equipment, runout measurement tools, vernier calipers and micrometers, as applicable.

Assembly Inspection

Joint installation, yoke position, flange orientation, fasteners and other assembly interfaces are checked against the approved configuration.

Sample Approval

For new or customized applications, specifications can be confirmed against an approved sample, technical drawing or OE reference before production.

Final Inspection

Finished assemblies are checked for appearance, key dimensions and assembly condition before packing and shipment.

Inspection Records

Inspection records can be maintained according to product and customer requirements.

FAQ

Q: What is the typical production lead time for a driveshaft order?

A: Standard production typically takes 20–30 days, depending on the product configuration and order quantity. The confirmed lead time is provided with the quotation or order confirmation.

Q: Can you arrange samples before a bulk order?

A: Yes. Samples can be arranged for pre-production evaluation. Sample requirements and timing are confirmed based on the application and quantity required.

Q: Do you support repeat orders for existing driveshaft programs?

A: Yes. Repeat orders can be produced against the previously approved specification or customer reference to maintain consistency between orders.

Q: Can multiple SKUs be included in the same order?

A: Yes. Multiple product references can be combined in one purchasing program. Production scheduling depends on the number of SKUs, quantities and required delivery date.

Q: Can packaging and labeling be prepared for aftermarket distribution?

A: Yes. Carton markings, product labels and customer-specific packaging can be prepared according to the agreed packaging requirements.

Q: Can you support urgent or scheduled delivery requirements?

A: Requested delivery dates can be reviewed before order confirmation. The production schedule is agreed according to the product configuration, order quantity and delivery requirement.
